EdChoice Scholarship

New EdChoice Scholarship rules to benefit FBCS!

FBCS is pleased to share the following information about the state-funded EdChoice Scholarship Program. Both the EdChoice Scholarship for low-performing schools and the EdChoice Expansion income-based scholarship are open for enrollment. Your student must be accepted and completely enrolled in FBCS to apply for the scholarship. If you meet the qualifications, the EdChoice Scholarship will award up to $5500 per student for K-8 and $7500 per student for 9-12. The scholarship program has two different aspects. Please read carefully to see if you qualify for either. You may also contact the school office at (440) 458-5185 with any questions.

The Traditional Educational Choice Scholarship Program

This program offers students in grades K – 12 the opportunity to attend a private school for little or no cost. This scholarship is available to students assigned to low performing school districts and to those who meet certain qualifications. For more information, please visit www.education.ohio.gov/edchoice or click here.

Click here to see if your school district is included in the list of low performing schools. If not, look below to see if your family might meet one of the other qualifications to receive the EdChoice Scholarship.

  • Students whose sibling received a traditional EdChoice Scholarship in the preceding year.
  • Students who previously received an Autism or Jon Peterson Scholarship but no longer qualify because they no longer need special education services.
  • Students who are foster children.
  • Students who reside in a certified foster home.
  • Students placed with a guardian, legal custodian, or in kindship care.
  • Students who resided in the same household as a student who was placed with a guardian, legal custodian, or in kinship care for at least 45 consecutive days.

If your student meets any one of the above qualifications, we would be happy to speak with you about how the EdChoice Scholarship Program can help you afford a Christian education for your student. Please contact the school office at (440) 458-5185 to learn more or inquire through the form below.
